TEHRAN – Olefin unit at Marun Petrochemical Complex, southern Iran, will be on the go immediately after tank cleanup.

Downstream units may then assume operation and some feedstock could also be stored, complex manager told ISNA here on Friday.

“Tank repair took about six months and cleaning and insulation work is underway. Drying process must be applied to enable freezing at -105C,” Seyyed Mohammad Shajari continued, adding the unit is expected to start in 10 days.

General petrochemical projects at Marun are completed at the moment and two boilers ordered to Azarab Company of Arak, Markazi (Central) Province, will be delivered next October.
